How to Clean Burnt On Food on Frying Pans and Pots

As any person who cooks at home will cheerfully tell you, cooking is a pleasure. The problem is cleaning up after that. And among those who hate cleaning, cleaning pots and frying pans ranked among the things they dread to clean the most.

Why? Because of burnt on food. Burnt on food on pots and pans are unpleasant to clean. They leave a black colour soot on the pans and are notoriously difficult to remove. Also, the fact that the pans are often thick with grease does not help. Scrubbing on the pans often leaves scratch marks and may corrode the non-stick layer on non-stick pans.

Some people use detergent, and stroke the pan overnight with water, in hopes that the burnt on food will be easier to remove. Most of the time, they are disappointed. Can you see the burnt on soot in the steak dinner above?

How to clean your carpet:

The way you clean your carpet depends on the method used. In general, this is a breakdown of commonly used methods.

Method 1: Dry Method.

  1. Sprinkle the powder liberally over the carpet.

  2. Leave the powder for at least 30 minutes – but if you can leave it overnight, all the better – this gives the cleaner time to work, softening the stains and consuming the odours.

  3. Vacuum up the powder when you’re done.

Method 2: Carpet Shampoo.

  1. Make up the solution as directed on the packaging. In many cases, the product will need to be diluted with water.

  2. Use just enough carpet shampoo to cover the area.

  3. Do not make the carpet too wet – not only is this a waste of detergent, but it’s also going to increase drying time.

  4. Scrub on the particularly stubborn areas using a hard-bristled brush.

  5. Let the carpet dry.

  6. Vacuum the shampooed carpet once it has dried.

How to Clean your Carpet : Removing stains from carpet:

blotting to remove stains on carpet

Removing stains on the carpet need not be a hassle – with the right products. Our Stain Remover is specially formulated for gentle, deep and simple elimination of soiling and stain-generating substances. What’s more, it also removes tiresome and unpleasant odours, and refreshes the carpet at the same time.

1.  Blot off any liquids with an absorbable cloth and vacuum off loose dirt.

2. Spray stain remover onto the contaminated area, allow to work-in for 2 – 3 minutes and then take up the loosened stain with a clean cloth or absorbent paper.

3. Then treat with clear water and dab dry.

4. In case of stubborn contamination, a soft brush may be used as assistance. Now brush the treated area in the direction of the carpet pile.

5. During drying, do not walk on the treated spot.

6. After drying, vacuum thoroughly.

Important: Always test surfaces for colour fastness before use. Stains should be removed immediately, as far as possible.

The key to getting rid of stains on your carpet is blotting. Blotting means to use a cloth or soft sponge and exert pressure on the carpet.

Blotting puts a small amount of pressure on the stain to soak it up. Do not rub the stain, as rubbing may cause the particles to get ground into the carpet fibers, and this can lead to the premature breakdown of those fibers. Always blot from the outside of the stain inward, as blotting outward can spread the stain.

How to maintain your carpet:

Regular maintenance of your carpet will help make deep cleaning it easier. Carpets need to be vacuumed once a week and more often in areas that are prone to dirt. This will prolong the life of your carpet and prevent a build-up of dirt.
